Now You’re Playing With Style! Sonic Themed Park In Oakland
That’s right! SEGA has announced the design and building of a Sonic themed park in Oakland, California. Now I do realize this is all sorts of cool, but it gets better, this park will be built on a SINGLE DAY (October 28th) and will also be designed by the same children it’s going to entertain-if that isn’t pretty awesome then I don’t know what is.
Joining in this project are the non-profit groups Youth UpRising and KaBOOM! (which is a group dedicated to preserve the spirit of playing outdoors, which I agree wholeheartedly with even though I am sitting in front of this computer 24/7) who will definitely make this 400 children-housing park a success, furthermore, the park will open on November 1st, tying up nicely with the release of Generations.
So to sum these great news up, I’m going to quote the Director of Marketing for SoA (from this article):
“There could not be a better way to celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog’s 20th Anniversary than to continue his message of energy, fun and play among the community with this playground and partnership.”
