Though it’s only been 5 days since the official Japanese release of Phantasy Star Online 2, people outside of the country have wasted no time fighting for (and with) translation guides in order to play through the game now it’s out of beta.
However, a press release from SEGA showcased by PSO World this morning means that Europe and North America will be playing the game without the need for such translation guides inside 12 months with a release outside of Japan slated for early 2013.
This is fantastic news for those who have eagerly awaiting for this announcement since the initial beta stages of PSO2’s development and testing periods. In addition to the press release, an official teaser site has been created that is filled with game and character information, trailers, screenshots and other locked sections that will no doubt be made available as we get closer to the Western release.
So now that PSO2 has finally been given a Western release date, what are you looking forward to the most about it? Sound off in the comments section!
In the meantime, I think I hear my copy of Blue Burst calling.
