
Nintendo’s New Corporate Ladder
Because of Yamauchi’s retirement on May 31st, there’s a new corporate structure at Nintendo. Here’s the breakdown from IGN Cube:
Satoru Iwata, former director and general manager of corporate planning, will take the reigns of the company as the new president. The following executives will join his side:
Tatsumi Kimishima — Director and president, Nintendo of America.
Atsushi Asada — Chairman, formerly representative director, executive vice president.
Yoshihiro Mori — Senior managing director, general manager, corporate analysis and administrative division.
Shinji Hatano — Senior managing director and general manager, licensing division.
Genyo Takeda — Senior managing director and general manager, integrated research and development division.
Shigeru Miyamoto — Senior managing director and general manager, entertainment analysis and development division.
Masaharu Matsumoto — Managing director and general manager, finance and information systems division.
Nobuo Nagai — Managing director and general manager, manufacturing division.
Eiichi Suzuki — Genral manager, general affairs division.
Additionally, Hiroshi Imanishi, currently director and general manager of the corporate communication division — a leading force behind Nintendo of Japan’s public relations — will retire on June 27 and accept the title of corporate advisor.
