New Sonic Movie Poster Distribution Underway

With last month’s announcement that the Sonic movie has been delayed to February on overwhelming reaction and concern to the hedgehog’s visual design, Paramount’s marketing department has needed to update creative to reflect the new date across the world. That first step begins with the posters promoting the upcoming film, reflecting the new February 14th release.

It appears that process has started, according to some eagle-eyed fans on Twitter. Changing the date is easy, but the big question is whether those posters offer any clues into the catalyst for the delay: Sonic’s planned makeover. So far, not yet:

Understand that most reasonable estimates peg a CG makeover as a months-long process. It’s possible little insight will be afforded into the new look until much later this year.
