New details on Sonic Jump

You might remember that a few days ago Sega mysteriously announced a new game called Sonic Jump. Without any other details than it is “coming soon”, Sega left us to wonder what’s the matter with that game.

But not for much more time. Pocket Gamer reported about the tease we got from Sega, and added some new and interesting info about the game.

For starters the site confirmed that the game is heading to iOS, but there are also high possibilities that it will come to Android devices too. They also teased with a complete reveal next week.

Spanish Site Sonic Paradise also revealed that Hardlight will be the studio in charge of developing this new incarnation of Sonic Jump. This European based studio, recently started their operations. They are developing mobile games for Sega, either classic Sega IP’s, or original ones for Sega too. They are also working on an unannounced action/adventure game for PS Vita, and this Sonic Jump.

We will have to wait a week to see more of this mysterious mobile game. We will keep you informed.

A Sonic game on the Vita?

A temple run inspired game would be incredible if done right if it’s just doddle jump with a Sonic skin then meh

But no, seriously, Sonic Jump has already appeared before on Sonic Cafe. Its not a reskin of anything; its more like a remake/enhancement of an already existing Sonic game.

Don’t jump the gun just yet, it says unannounced Vita game, not a Sonic Vita game. It could be anything. Best to wait till its announced before we get our hopes too high

I sure hope that unannounced Vita game is Sonic… But I would prefer a Sonic game for PS Vita to be developed by Sonic Team. 🙁

But on the topic of temple run. I think it would be pertty cool to see a more subway surfers inspired one. I mean sonic always had quick stepping, right? If they could make a mini version of the hedgehog engine for such a game that would be spectacular.
