Never-Before-Seen Footage of Cancelled Sonic Arcade Game
Many of you might have never heard of SegaSonic Bros. It was to be a Sonic-themed puzzle arcade game designed by Fuko Mitsuji, known for creating the arcade game Bubble Bobble. Heck, no one knew it even existed for many years. It never made it past the location test phase.
A collector that goes by ShouTime found a working board about two years ago. He is now showcasing it at California Extreme, an arcade and pinball convention. Attendees having been filming rounds of the game, which marks the first time the public has seen footage of this lost machine.

Very cool.
Huh, that’s a unique style of clearing with you having to encircle an area with a certain color instead of matching colors.. It’s like if Puyo Puyo had an Expert Mode or something.
Maybe they should include it as as ruleset in the next Puyo Puyo game that us American mutts will never get to play. They could call it “Sonic Bros. Rule.” or something.
