Motomu Kiyokawa Is The New Japanese VA For Eggman
The 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games has released in Japan, and footage of the game has already gone up. However, the most important news to come from the game’s release is the fate of Eggman’s Japanese voice.
Eggman’s previous Japanese voice actor, Chikao Otsuka, passed away a year ago due to Ischemic Heart Disorder. He voiced Eggman from Sonic Adventure all the way to the Sonic Boom games in 2014. We have since learned that, with the credits of the new Mario & Sonic title now known, Motomu Kiyokawa is the new Japanese voice actor for Eggman.
Motomu Kiyokawa has done plenty of voice acting roles, including Thomas in the 90’s Virtua Fighter TV show and the Mahogany Town Gym Leader Pryce (from Pokémon Gold and Silver) in the Pokémon anime.
