More Project Ringo Information
This is nowhere from new on the Internet. Perhaps a lot of you have already heard of SEGA’s unknown project. If you haven’t, here’s a great place to find out!
With us not knowing what this “Project Ringo” really is, there isn’t much that can be said. SEGA of Japan has released 4 teasers of Project Ringo, doing a clever job with each one.
For those who may know Japanese, Ringo, actually means apple–which makes sense since the main character’s name is Ando Ringo and tosses apples. The first teaser is a bit indecipherable from watching it; however, it ends with the words “What Happens?” and the gives away a date for the next teaser.
In the latest three, SEGA shows us these math problems and such. However, in the third teaser, it brings us to what looks like an ordinary classroom. The third teaser also ends with Ando Ringo writing, “one day, at a classroom…”
In the fourth teaser, and the latest one to date, SEGA reveals what Ando Ringo looks like, with color and detail. You may also notice a couple characters running around from outside the window. Those characters are Amitie, Arle, and Carbuncle. This teaser also gives away this game may be Puyo Puyo 7 as the chalkboard shows the numbers 24247 on it (2424 stands for Puyo Puyo). A Green Puyo can also be seen in Ando Ringo’s hair.
You can check all the teasers below!

Sega knows math? I’m surprised. Well, knowing that it may be a Puyo, I’ve lost interest. Bye.
@SLJCOAATR: whats a Puyo? and lol to the first, it’ll probably be another one of those ‘math training’ things that came out on DS a while back; I used math training for bout two days, then just got embarrased cos I struggled to keep up with lots of level xD
I have been told that patience is a virtue but…hehe 😉
The way she said “Seeeegaaaaa” was too cute. ^^
@TailstheHedgehog,
Puyopuyo is a very fun Puzzle game that play much like Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine.
MEH! COMON! Games like this just suck! It’s like this bad game tetris, you do the same thing whole the time in a boring way! They keep make games like this and why do people like them!? I can’t understand that, SEGA is just wasting time on a shit game in my opinion.
@Michael Bonawitz:
Actually, Mean Bean Machine is Puyo Puyo clone, it’s just that SEGA disguised it so people would like it.
@Osnic:
I like how the person here sums up tetris.

Puyo Puyo has a really steep learning curve. The concept is simple, but it goes a long way. Just google a couple videos, or go to http://www.puyonexus.net/
This is one game I may end up getting after all! I love math! (Really!)
I had a strong feeling that it’d be Puyo Puyo.
But what does math have to do with it? Was that part of the mystery or what?
@Sonication: yeah, your right, in the words of Jack Black: ‘math is a wonderful thing!’ it’s just that the last few math GAMES I played were kinda repetitive…
Wonder what exactly this project is though…I’m assuming video game…which platform I wonder
@Dark Prowl:
247 and 24247 is just a pun.
2 = Tsu = Pu
4 = Yon = Yo
PuyoPuyo 7
And besides, do you guys really think a math game would have a question asking the square root of 587917009? lol
It’s officially Puyo Puyo 7 for Wii, DS, and PSP, confirmed by Famitsu!
