That variant…
Is awesome.
Looks pretty good
Oh look, another generic “Knuckles teams up/gets tricked by Eggman because he’s dumb hurr hurr” plot. :/
Well, to be fair, this is the first time it happened for THIS version of Knuckles.
I think Knuckles got tricked at least 4 times. Once in S&K, once in Sonic Adventure, and i think twice in Sonic X.
Am i missing any others?
He wasn’t tricked here. He went to Eggman himself. He IS dumb here though.
The Mobians of the Boom-universe are so hyper-aware of their own reality; they know fully-well that they’re just characters in a comicbook.
Makes you wonder if we’ll ever discover the secret behind our own universe…
He wasnt tricked, he willingly went to eggman and asked to team up. He didnt like how Amy treated him so my guess is he wanted payback. Though no idea why he would feel spite towards tails, sticks or Sonic.
Is it just me, or does it feel like Flynn is writing these stories during his lunch-breaks? They don’t seem to have the same level of care applied to them as the stories in the other comics.
This is the Boom universe though, is a simpler world.
I fully agree with you. I’ve read both issues and, so far, the writing in these isn’t up to snuff at all. His material in the Sonic X comic was even better than this.
I think it may be largely because Ian can’t really write comedy all that well, which is Boom’s primary focus. When you really think about, all of the successful lines or jokes in the other comics has either been an Internet meme or a reference to some bit of Sonic trivia or history…
