Shenmue I & II HD Slated for August 21 Release

This week, Sega cemented the release date for Shenmue I & II, the remaster of the classic Dreamcast-era series from Yu Suzuki.

All versions, including XBOX One, PS4, and Steam, will release on August 21. The former two versions will have physical editions to buy.

It is part of Sega’s effort to prop up the Shenmue franchise ahead of the highly anticipated release of Shenmue III, which is being developed outside the company. Recently, Shenmue III received a delay to next year. It is still unclear how far along in development the third installment is.
