GameShark Being Used to Cheat on SA World Rankings

The latest E-Mail from Crimson Fury comes as something that could potentially damage the World Rankings forever. With the new GameSharks out, many are using them to get top honors on the World Rankings:

The Gameshark is what most of the top people are using to get their times right now. Want proof?? The leader on this new WR (E-102 in final egg) has a time of 85 MINUTES! and the guy in second has 6:55 (right now).

I’m somewhere around 16th place by now, with 5:31. And that angers me, because I did it as best I could, and didn’t cheat, use a glitch, OR the greatest sin of them all, use a Gameshark.

I talked with some of the people that are in the top ten right now, (three of them) and they all admit to using the Gameshark to improve their times.

One of them (who shall remain nameless) has a time of 6:14 normally, but used the GS to get up to 6:53.

Want further proof that people are using Gameshark to improve their times?? Look at the old Emerald Coast rankings, and Windy Valley. a LOT of people posted times of 00:00:00 in both!! And that’s the most obvious sign of cheating that I have seen.

The question now is, what is to become of the future WR events?? Is Sega going to close them down forever? (Or will they) Keep them going despite the fact that u cant win, because of cheating? Or are they simply going to ban the people who are cheating from the World Rankings??

Only time will tell…
