First Sonic Adventure 2 Reaction: City Escape
We have this information from a DCTP forumer, named Mangajin, who may be close to the Japanese Famitsu Magazine:
You can play a level called City Escape in the trial version.
After you dive from a helicopter, you run through a street at insane speed, run through a park, etc.
You can slide down on some sort of board, and even do tricks.
It seems like they’re improving physics, if you run fast on a railing the centrifugal force will start to pull you and you have to push the other way.
There is a somersault move but I can’t tell if it’s any different from the normal spin moves.
You can still grab onto poles and spin around then shoot off it at high speed.
There is a rank system after you complete stages, A,B,C,D,E
It retains the action window of the first game, where what happens when you hit buttons depends upon the situation, and it’s displayed on the screen. (unsure about this part)
If you do really cool tricks you get a “technique points” bonus. And in special situations if you do cool actions you get an “action link” bonus.
The game also has references to Nights (see second screenshot) and the gameplay seems to be influenced by it Naka is such a tease.
We’ll have new screens of City Escape later tonight.
