First Online Dreamcast Contest Involves SA

Sega of America has announced the plan:

In order to enter, players must go online with their Dreamcast and download special levels of Sonic Adventure, which offer revamped courses with new objectives and challenges.

Participating in the contest couldn’t be easier! Just play through the levels, and your name and time will be automatically posted to the Sonic Adventure homepage, where it will then be ranked. The prizes Sega is offering are very enticing indeed, with a year of free Internet access, subscriptions to the Official Dreamcast Magazine, and Dreamcast merchandise up for grabs.

Charles Bellfield, director of marketing communications of Sega America commented, “Sega’s plan is to continue to phase in online gameplay elements, giving consumers new experiences never seen before on a console. Sonic Adventure is the first of many games that will be given additional ‘arms and legs’ through the Internet.”
