Good to know they also wanted to toss in Guile in here.
Also, someone as badass evil as Sigma shouldn’t have to resort to the Deadly Six when he’s already got an ARMY OF MAVERICKS.
The fact that the Deadly 6 are even here ruins this crossover for me. Who even thought adding them would be a good idea?
The deadly 6 are probably the worst villains I have ever seen in the Sonic Franchise if you ask me. So bland and one dimensional it’s disgusting.
I can’t stand the Deadly Six either, I can tolerate Zavok at best, still I’m not worried about their inclusion, simply because:
1- Judging by each issues synopsis it looks like the Deadly Six won’t have a prominent role in the crossover until Part 6 (Sonic Boom #9) and after that they don’t get mentioned in later issues.
2- I pretty sure Ian Flynn and co. can make them more likeable that they’re in the game and hopefullyy more compex and less stereotypical.
They’re still pretty pointless considering the amount of Robot Masters and Mavericks that are gonna be in here, Why worry about these villains that are very poorly received when you have the entire Megaman and Megaman X history of robot bosses that you’re already squeezing in here.
Only Robot Masters and Mavericks would be really boring, if anything I would love if they introduce brand new villians for this saga.
SEGA, more than likely, forced Archie to include them.
That, or they’re just using this as an excuse to skate around having to actually adapt Lost World in the main series eventually, which, if that’s the case, I’m totally okay with.
Considering the Zeti can manipulate magnetic fields, allowing them to control robots, I can see why the Mavericks saw them as being useful.
The Clusterfudge of a crossover I certainly did NOT ask for 🙂
Welp I’m hyped. Ian Flynn is a pretty good writer so I’m curious to see what he does with the deadly six since they were so underdeveloped in lost world. To those complaining, just wait and see how this all pans out. It could be good or it could be bad. We’ll see
Looks like we won’t see the other Boom characters. Waiting to reveal near the end or some penders bs?
I don’t have faith that Ian will be able to make mr.glutton and ms.nail-art likable.
Hopefully we don’t, as a matter of fact I prefer the Zeti before the entire Boom cast.
God this looks so convoluted…and Sticks? Deadly Six? All these cameo-trapped random Capcom/Sega irrelevant figure heads?
Only 2 of these 10 comments are positive. Hmm.
I’m not going to judge til the issues come out besides those who are being negative it didn’t even start there’s no telling if this is gonna be good or bad let’s just see how it’ll play out
Sega forcing all these characters in is going to kill this crossover. Deadly Six really there so lame and there design just doesn’t mix with either franchise.
Neither does everyone else, but I don’t see people complaining about them.
Hello, you seem to have forgotten that I’m one of the guys that pointed out how much a clusterfuck this thing was even from the teasers. And that many people here have stated how this thing is shoving too many characters that will leave very little time for any character traits to be shown at all from any of them.
The first one suffered from this problem, and I know that it’s going to be bite them big time with this one trying to shove so many characters without much thought to it.
Well, we don’t know how it will be depicted yet. For all we know, the story could have plenty of development within its issue-lengthen segments. I mean, this is a twelve issue arc. It’s not that short, guys.
What bugs me is that people jump aboard the complaint bandwagon before we get a full look at the thing. When the time comes for it to wrap up, THEN we can judge it. All we have currently is brief plot solicits that give us an idea of how it’ll play out.
12 issues is pretty short considering that’s the same number the first crossover had, and again, THAT ONE was plauged with so many problems that I have stated on numerous occasions. Adding more characters isn’t gonna help solve the problems that the first one had. And also add in the fact that they’re just using this crossover to toss in characters we have no idea about in this universe. X has had only one story thus far in the Megaman series and Sigma hasn’t even turned evil yet, they haven’t even adapted anything past Megaman 2 yet. And for some reason, they wanna toss in every single Maverick and even Axl who doesn’t appear till X7.
Same goes for the Deadly Six, this crossover is just a means to toss in these characters without us even being properly introduced to them in the main comic series.
If this were a fighter like something in the Marvel VS Capcom series, where story isn’t the focus, then I wouldn’t have reason to worry. But this is a comic book, not something you can just keep dumping character reveals as if you announcing a new fighter.
Not to mention, this is being spread across 4 different books, Main Sonic, Sonic Universe, Megaman, and Sonic Boom. And there aren’t too many pages in these issues compared to other comics I’ve read.
“the story could have plenty of development within its issue-lengthen segments.”
With 90% of these comic covers being comedic or random….yeah no.
I’m still going to give it a chance when it comes out.
If it’s good, it’s good.
If it sucks, it sucks.
I for one am really excited about this crossover, sure the Deadly Six are in it and most of the Capcom and Sega characters outside the Megaman and Sonic universe won’t have much time (if any) to develop but it will be great to see them in action along with the other heroes, Honestly all I care about is Sonic, Megaman, X, Zero and the Freedom Fighters together and their characters well developed, hell I think I will like Sticks more in this than in Boom for some reason.
so is the only thing coming from boom universe is sticks? miss of an opportunity if you ask me
I think that should be noted sonic and sonic boom that so confuses the design and even historoa of both stories.
I think most of you are just blind and are too closed minded to give this crossover a chance. You’re all wrapped up in the idea that it’s bad because it’s got so many characters. Look at marvel and dc they do hundreds of crossovers with that amount of characters with half the amount of issues.
Some of you wouldn’t know a good crossover even if it had biten you in the butt. I am just laughing at the big baby fit 100rings and danidado are making. If you guys hate sonic so much leave. If you know how to, cause guys and girls like you don’t give new fans a good expierence.
It’s more the fact that it has too many characters when even the FIRST crossover had the same number of issues and FAR LESS characters than this one, yet it turned out to be complete and utter shit.
It’s going for quality over quantity when even the first crossover couldn’t handle all the characters given, so tossing in more isn’t gonna fix the problems, just create new ones.
You wanna talk GOOD crossovers? Then talk to be about Generator Rex/Ben 10, the Bravo Dooby Doo episode of Johnny Bravo, any Marvel VS Capcom game, or Battletoads & Double Dragon for SNES/Genesis.
The last crossover was still an artistic success even with the problems before it. Plus, at the time we had the whole stupid Penders thing going on too which it actually gave readers a break from the chaos penders caused.
I think the generator rex/Ben 10 crossover is overated in my opinion. It had a one shot villian who came out of nowhere ansfw the story was forgettable unlike the Ben 10 crossover with the secret saturdays.
although i do agree that people are probably jumping to conclusions, they do have a bases for it and that is coming from the first crossover and how that performed, plus people may be still sore from the reboot as its been a whole year and yet the series has prove much if its better then what we were getting before to some people with the stories being pretty much game adaptations, with no evidence of previous conflict coming back or what new conflict that will rise and stick for longer then few issues. so yes people may be jumping the gun but i see where its coming from
Calling it now on the inevitable “SONIC BOOM!” joke with Guile. 😛
I don’t think Ian Flynn can successfully write anything longer than a 3-Parter. He’s done some great two and three parters — but pretty much all of his four issue or more stories disappoint me. They end up being about 2/3 issues worth of stories padded out with 1/2 (or more) issues worth of padded fight scenes. I canceled my subscription shortly before the first Worlds Unite storyline and don’t really regret it lol.
Well you’re gonna regret it. In case you forgot sally and the rest of the freedom fighters are in it too. Not as cameos but having a role in it. Plus, it’s an action comic you nincompoop, of course there’s gonna be fight scenes. If you want melodrama and romantic crap, then Ken pender’s comic is for you.
I think this crossover will be better than the first one. The problem with Worlds Collide was it didn’t had much story and content (they had : The Genesis Wave thing, the Robiticized Master, Sonic vs Megaman, the Skull Egg Zone…), this one looks like having more events : The Genesis Portals, more universes and character having interaction, Sonic Man and M’Eggaman, the Super-Powered Deadly Six, Sigma uniting worlds, the moment when the unified army isn’t unified anymore…).
When I’ve had the first crossover, my thought were a bit “so much for this ?”, even if I loved it, here it seem to be an epic crossover.
For the use of the Deadly Six, I think that’s a good idea : with their power, they can be a major threat for all robots characters. And with Sigma controlling them… I think that Sticks were the best idea to integrate Sonic Boom to the crossover because of her paranoïa
Archie keeps forgotten game relics legendary. Megaman reaching 50 is really cool.
