First Look: IDW Sonic #5

1. The Chaotix with Vector and company make their IDW debut in Sonic IDW series #5! And I thought Eggman would debut in the first 4 IDW Sonic issues! Though still waiting in the wings for IDW Sonic debuts in the months to come are: Rogue the Bat, Shadow, Silver, Cream the Rabbit, Sticks the Badger, Mighty the Armadillo, Ray the Squirrel, Big the Cat, Vanilla the Rabbit, Chip, and – maybe – the Freedom Fighters (including my all time Sonic fave who I am still desperate to see make her IDW Sonic debut if IDW and Sega agree – Sally Acorn! – the Freedom Fighters are still on stay tuned notice since the October 2017 New York Comic-Con IDW Sonic Town Hall panel!)

   1. My hope is that IDW Sonic is simply a timeskip for the Archie Sonic Post-SGW World’s continuity.

      1. It’s not. It’s a brand new continuity, y’all. They’ve already confirmed it multiple times.

         It will have ZERO ties with the Archie comics. It’s a clean slate.

         I love Sally and the Freedom Fighters too. Hell, I grew up with SatAM. But, a completely fresh start really is the best thing that could’ve happened to these comics. And I say that as a HUGE fan of Ian’s Archie run.

         2. Would it be that bad to tell him not to make up fake rumors in the comments? Fake rumors get spread around in this community way too easily, I still see people acting like a Heroes remake is coming.

            1. It wasn’t even a “fake rumor”. There’s still room to argue that the Freedom Fighters could still show up.

               At least The Freedom Fighters still have a chance to show up in IDW Sonic before 2018 is over more or less…

         1. You clearly do as you posted some unless you have a concrete source that the freedom fighters are still on. And no your schrödinger’s cat logic about it doesn’t count.
