Fantasy Zone Joining SEGA AGES Switch Lineup in Japan

While most in America will be gobbling turkey down this week like it’s 1620, players in Japan will party like it’s the space year 1422.

Thursday will be the day the SEGA AGES Switch release of Fantasy Zone hits the console in the region. As with previous SEGA AGES remasters, this original arcade title from 1986 one will come with a host of extra modes, including Time Attack, Upa-Upa mode, and more.

After its release in Japan, expect to see a domestic release in due course. Nothing’s been confirmed yet, but every SEGA AGES Switch release in Japan has made it over to the West. By the way, Sonic 2 is still slated on the list of re-releases–it was one the first to be announced–but so far the team at M2 has been silent on what they have in store for the classic Sonic title.
