TSSZ Exclusive: Dynamite Headdy Coming to Sega Forever
In addition to this afternoon’s exclusive reveal of Super Monkey Ball returning to mobile devices via the Sega Forever legacy brand, TSSZ can also exclusively reveal that Dynamite Headdy will come to mobile for the first time under Sega Forever.
Originally released in 1994, Headdy was one of the Sega Genesis’s most critically acclaimed platformers of 1994, and in some circles it is considered among the all-time best Genesis platformers. It has seen limited re-releases, including on the Wii Virtual Console, on Steam, and as a part of Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection. The Sega Forever team, as it has done with other titles, is working now to bring its unique, innovative approach to platforming to mobile as part of the Sega Forever initative.
Like with Super Monkey Ball: Sakura Edition, there is no release timetable for Headdy’s release. But TSSZ has confirmed both SMB and Headdy are the next two on the docket for release. Like other titles in the library, it will be free to play and ad-supported, with an option to buy.
TSSZ first revealed this information earlier tonight on TSSZ News Final, a community-oriented news and discussion program that airs on TSSZ Plus Saturday nights at 10:30 PM ET.
