Entire Hatsune Miku US/Canada Concert Tour Postponed
It took just about 24 hours after the postponement of Coachella, where Hatsune Miku was to make her first debut at a major music festival, for the entire house of cards the Miku Expo concert tour was built on to collapse on fears about spreading novel coronavirus.
Late Wednesday evening on the concert website, organizers announced all dates of the North American leg of the tour would be postponed indefinitely:
Following the postponement of Coachella and Hatsune Miku’s performance at the festival, and in consideration of the safety and well-being of Miku’s fans and touring staff amidst the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the MIKU EXPO 2020 USA & Canada concert tour will be postponed.
The concerts were to be held during April and May and included stops across the United States and Canada.
Information about what to do with already purchased tickets will be made available at a later date.
While Sega has the license to produce games based on Hatsune Miku, they have no ownership stake in the vocaloid concert series.
