E3 2000: Internet Connections Busted
Yes, in the heart of the expo, it looks like all ‘Net connections are out of commission. It happened yesterday, and that’s why many sites, SegaWeb especially, are either updating late or not at all. There have been reports of a pipe busting and knocking out ‘Net service to a huge chunk of the Los Angeles area. Needless to say, this is bad news for the major sites, as they might not be able to give you a whole lot of E3 coverage from here on in until at least Sunday. It is especially bad for Sega, as the Internet is their major theme this year, with Quake III Arena and SegaNet etc. The situation is being closely monitored, and we will let you know if things are getting any better.
