Dreamcast Sales Up Drastically

Sales for the DC are up more than 40 percent after some major announcements, one of them the fact that the DC has reached the million mark in the US, according to IGN Dreamcast:

Sega attributes the impressive sales to high media marks, with Dreamcast receiving TIME Digital’s “Machine of the Year” award, and being declared one of Business Week’s “Best Products of 1999”.

“Sega Dreamcast has been, and will continue to be, one of the cornerstone products of our overall holiday retail sales,” said Peter Roithmayr, vice president, Electronics Boutique. “We are expecting record numbers this year thanks in part to the incredibly strong and sustained demand we have seen for Sega Dreamcast.”
