Demo Of Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection Now On XBL
Sega have released a demo of Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection on Xbox Live today. Weighing in at 99mb the demo includes limited versions of Sonic 3, Streets of Rage 3 and Space Harrier for you to get a taste of. If you like what you see the full game is available to buy in stores now, assuming you don’t already own it. You can even read TSSZ’s Review of the Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection which apart from the name is exactly the same game but released in Europe and Australia.
Speaking of places across the pond from the US the demo has yet to appear on the UK XBL Marketplace but as soon as it does TSSZ will be sure to let you know. In the meanwhile, happy retro gaming US readers!
Thanks to VG247 for the heads up

Um… how exactly do you make a demo of a collection game?
Seems interesting. I’ll try it when it comes to PSN
Cool, But I wish it was for PSN.
@ edge
It’s been on PSN for awhile now.
Yeah, I downloaded this from PSN a couple days ago. I’m in the US, btw.
Got it on PSN yesterday. The demo sucks — you’ll be playing Sonic 3, then, without warning, “YOUR TIME IS UP” and you’re all “WTF!?”
It’s so lame.
serpx: Yeah! It’s so lame! I had a demo of Jak 2 on the PS2, it was just like: “SORRY! The time is out! But we enjoy that angry face of yours”. I don’t know if I said that right but I hate when they do something like that!
But I’ve got some collections for my PSP2 so I don’t see any reason to get this. I’m a Sonic game colector but I don’t count this one as a Sonic game.
waste of money
@serpx:
Most of the time, ROM demos have timers. You get enough time to sample what the game has to offfer, so I think it’s all good. If you want to play longer, just buy the game. At least the demo SEEMS to list all of the game’s games and content.
