DC Network: Will We Have It at CCR’s Launch?

Well, Sega wouldn’t answer it, but we do have a bit of info via Sega X:

Recently we reported that Chu Chu Rocket, Sonic Team’s wacky puzzle game, would very likely be the first Dreamcast game to make use of the DC Network’s online play. The game is set for release in March, so logic would follow that the Network should be up and running by then as well. Today we contacted Sega to confirm ours, and other online reports, but company representatives would not comment either way anything, calling the stories pure conjecture.

What Sega did say however is that an announcement on the DC Network and tie-ins with Chu Chu Rocket will be made soon. We expect to hear specific details in late February to early March. So although Sega won’t comment at this time, the official confirmation on Chu Chu being the first online multiplayer Dreamcast game should come shortly.
