Confirmed – Tommy Tallarico Working on Sonic & the Black Knight

In an interview with Incgamers, Tallarico confirmed he had been contacted by Sega Japan to create music for the action adventure game, due for release this Spring on the Wii.

I’ve always loved the Sonic franchise, and just a couple of months ago Sega Japan contacted me to write three songs for the new Sonic game.

It was kind of an honour to be contacted by those folks.

A lot of my dreams have come true – I worked on the Pacman franchise, I worked on the bond franchise. These were all things I loved when I was growing up. The one I haven’t done yet is Mario.

Industry legend Tallarico has composed music for over 250 games, earning him a place in the Guiness World Records Gamers Edition 2008.

Well, at least we know that the music will be AWESOME!

Didn’t TSS already confirm this? I thought DreadKnux and AAUK reported this when they went to Video Games Live.

I think it was more of a “rumor.” 😀

I’am hoping the music for the levels will at least be decent becuase honestly, the theme music for BK just sucks.

I am glad (cause he did Earthworm jim, Global gladiators and Cool spot) but its a shame we will return to that crush 40 rubbish after sonic unleasheds beautiful step towards a more accesible soundtrack… ahhh well.

I must be the only Sonic fan who thinks that ‘Knight of the Wind’ (especially the Instrumental version) is really cool…

Anyway, never heard of this dude, but fresh talent music-wise is good to hear when it comes to Sonic, even though Sonic music in general is fantastic (sometimes).

Solaris Phase 2 > Perfect Gaia Phase 2 all the way.

I hierd sonic and the black knight will come soon on march-1/15 i don,t know they keep changing the dates of the game and i was hoping that sega of america could use sonic and shadow transeforem together become dark super shadic that will be cool i think sonic and the black knight will be the best game or not.
