Though it’s not likely an outright security or privacy risk, Sonic retro forumer Gold Lightning posted this image, showing Jump Fever requesting Superuser access to his Android device–in effect requesting permission for the game to root the system and have administrative privileges:
The prompt has prompted some players to wonder why Jump Fever needs this permission. A few have wondered if it’s a mistake leftover from development. We’re not sure ourselves, but as the image says, if you’re not comfortable with the idea of the game potentially having that level of control over your device, you should deny the request.
