Columbine RPG Up for Award
Danny Ledonne’s Super Columbine Massacre RPG could be granted positive recognition with an award next month.
The highly controversial title is a finalist in the 2007 Slamdance Guerrilla Gamemaker Competition. The competition is typically filled with titles of the abstract and innovative, both in concept and design. Other titles in the finals include Cultivation, a gardening oriented title, the fluid dynamics of Plasma Pong, and the critically acclaimed flOw. The only title that could even be considered close to the genre and controversial caliber of Super Columbine Massacre RPG is Everyday Shooter, a harmless fusion of target practice, guitar riffs, and abstract geometry.
Last year the interactive drama Facade won the competition’s Grand Jury Sparky award. Winners for this year’s competition will be announced in January.
