Hello. I represent a totally non-profit organization– Wait, don’t close this email yet. This is not spam, and if it is, forgive me, it is not intended to be. For the fact of the matter is I’m new to this. I am the organizer of a Internet event titled S.A.G.E, the Sonic Amateur Games Expo.
The Sonic Amateur Games Expo has been a major project of mine for the last 4-5 months now. There is a whole community who dedicates their lives and spare time to making Amateur Sonic Games, also known as “Fangames”. Once the games are completed, they are posted at various Fangame Websites for free download. This, of course is to avoid any copyright infringement they might suffer.
What the Sonic Amateur Games Expo is, is basically a virtual Expo. Since none of the game creators have enough money to take a trip across the states or even across country, everybody has to make do with the virtual expo. And this is where I’ve come in. With help from SegaSonic.net, I have gotten an amazing website up for the creators to post their “booths” as they’ve earned the name.
The “Booths” are nothing more than websites, but websites that are small, to the point, and focused solely on the game they’re attempting to promote. I already have over 15 entrants, and a very slow stream of more coming my way. And all anyone gets out of this is the satisfaction that someone plays their game. But, I’m trying to raise that.
Some of the games featured at the show are actually borderlining on professional quality, with the fully 3D “Sonic Robo-Blast 2” and the sleek “Sonic Chaos Revolution”, which features an almost identical Genesis Sonic 2 Engine (a major feat for Amateur Sonic Games)… and what I hope to bring out of this is the fact that some of us creators might walk away with jobs from big-name designers. If I can achieve that, my personal goal will have been met.
All of this takes place on September 9th to 11th, at http://sage.segasonic.net. We all have very high hopes for SAGE, and I hope we can count on coverage from at least one game website. The real website (featuring chat, messageboards, and more) won’t be revealed until September 2nd, one week before SAGE opens offically. As of now, it is just a “filler” website; one to be there until the big things start to happen. I appreciate you reading this email and I thank you for your time.

That’s it. It’s sent. Pray to whoever you pray to, cross your fingers, and wish on every star you can find. It’s crunch time and where the numbers count is here and now.
Ahead of time, I would like to thank everyone who was able to make this possible. I’ve gotten a ton of support from you all and I cannot thank you enough.
Well. Here’s hoping.
We will follow SAGE all the way through, so stay with us for the latest.
