Alien: Isolation Passes One Million Copies Sold
Alien: Isolation has been embraced by critics since its release back in October, and we now have firm proof that it’s been embraced by gamers as well; Sega announced today via a press release that the game recently achieved sales of over one million units. According to the press release, the game has also earned over fifty awards from various media outlets, thus furthering its positive critical reception. Encouragingly, Michael Doyle, the vice president of interactive games for 20th Century Fox Consumer Products, had this to say:
Fox is enormously pleased with how both SEGA and Creative Assembly have realized their homage to Ridley Scott’s iconic film Alien. The project represents a paradigm shift in what is possible in the arena of licensed games.
Two more DLC releases for the game are expected, so players will have more to look forward to from the game in 2015. If you haven’t tried it for yourself, Alien: Isolation is available for PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
