Fan Fridays: Sonic Mania in 3D

Now here’s something interesting: a YouTube channel titled Bitplex has gone and reimagined all 13 zones in Sonic Mania in 3D (or would it be 2.5D?). It’s an impressive feat that adds a whole new level of depth, as one would expect. Everything from the character sprites to the backgrounds have been given the full treatment, and it truly is a sight to behold. Arguably just as impressive are the intense zoom-outs, letting you see the level on a much grander scale than before. You can take a look for yourself below. (It goes pretty fast, so you might want to take advantage of those speed control tools.)
