Fan Fridays: Gigi-D

We’ve got another healthy dose of fan-submitted comics this week, so prepare yourself – things are about to get dark. deviantART user Gigi-D has crafted a darker, more mature series of comics based on the Sonic series, and she’s got an impressive amount of content to her name: the comic series, entitled The Murder of Me, currently contains two story arcs over nine complete, 30+ page books and counting. She teases the first arc of the story as follows:

When three young hedgehogs named Sonic, Shadow, and Silver meet for the first time, things are never the same again. An angry god that wishes to punish all mortals, a destiny is thrown upon them to defeat this creature of destruction. When all they have is each other, these batch of heroes will face against Zielo, the Dark God, with all they have.

The series features a very stylized, detailed approach to the Sonic franchise that may not tickle everyone’s fancy, but there’s no denying a lot of care and attention went into this. We’ve included the cover of and the first five pages from issue 4 of the series, the plot of which concerns Silver teaming up with Sonic and Shadow as they search for the Master Emerald.
