Fan Fridays: Aimf
This week our focus lies on Japanese artist Aimf, a man behind so much Sonic artwork that it’s near impossible to describe in just one post. Seriously, I don’t know what’s more impressive; the art itself, or the amount of pieces he’s created in these past few years. As you scroll through Aimf’s works, you’ll notice the many different approaches he decides to tackle. From intricate costumes, explosions of color, and just downright beauty, Aimf truly knows how to put the “art” in fan art. Throughout his craft, Aimf has seemed to find a happy medium between the anime and Sonic influence, adding in his own special touch to make for quite the intriguing art style. His art covers a large majority of characters from each era of Sonic, leaving something for every fan to enjoy.
Although it was hard to pick just a few, we’ve provided a few of our favorites in the gallery below. If you want to see some more Aimf awesomeness, you can check out his full collection on Tumblr, or follow him on Twitter (though you might need to use the translate tool). We’re always on the lookout for new fan work to spotlight, so if you have a project you’d like to share, be sure to send us a link at fansonfriday@tssznews.com!
Always loved Aimf and his work, glad to see him getting his own short article.
