Worlds Unite Crossover Confirmed For May Debut
At last we know the exact month when the Worlds Unite Sonic/Mega Man Archie Comics crossover will start and with what issue thanks to a by Archie themselves:
The crossover will begin in May with Sonic Universe #76.

oh boy deadly six.
Hoo boy. I guess it’s time to ignore the Sonic comics for the rest of the year. We were just getting the ball rolling with the plot, and then another crossover happens. :/
It’s only going to be four months
Three months: 12 issues across four series 😉
The first cover looks BEAST…..only problem is the fact that the deadly six are on there -_-
Yes! The Archie exclusives are in the 2nd crossover!
Sonic and the Megaman X universes crossover??? Yeah!!!
Eggman and Sigma teaming up??? Hell yeah!!!
No Sonic Boom characters in sight??? Fück yeah!!!
The Deadly Six??? Nawww D:
I’m really excited about this, hope the Deadly Six aren’t around for long. Also I would love to see a 3 VS 3 team battle of Sonic, Knuckles and Shadow VS X, Zero and Axl!!
The Boom cast will turn up at some point.
Whether that’s a good thing or not… I’m not making that call 🙂
So wheres the Sonic Boom cast at? We got Sally YAY!!!!!!!!!
I agree, looks like Tempo is in the mix too.
Yeah, I’m happy for the inclusion of Sally as well!! I just hope they include Blaze too since the character roster is so big now but that’s just the fanboy in me speaking 😛
The trash can ate my awesome comment *sob*
I check the spam folder multiple times a day and it’s specifically for that reason.
Either way I found the comment and people should be able to see it now.
Thanks a lot m8!!
First the Ifrit, now the Deadly Six? Perhaps someone is using the Skull Egg Zone!!!
Welp. here comes the massive cluster-fuck of a crossover to mess up he Sonic the Fighters arc.
And now the Deadly Six? And Zero and Axl? What next? Toss the Megaman Zero and Battle Network/Star Force series in?
Axl, I love ya, but if this is how you’re making your debut in the comics you’re pretty much fucked over just as much as the rest of X’s story in here. Not to mention Honey who was doing great in her current arc now has to just be tossed to the side along with the rest of her arc just to cash in on the success of the first crossover.
Oh, oh, and lemme guess, even tho we have all these Sonic characters on here, we’ll see pretty much NONE of them actually helping and they all have to be saved from another round of freakin’ Robotization with even more lazy “Robotized Master” designs?
Ugghh…. if you need me I’ll be playing Smash 4 instead.
Exactly! There’s just WAAY too much for it too be considered a good thing. This entire thing has FANSERVICE all over it and it’s disgusting.
You wish fans to remain ignored? That’s the kinda thing the fanbase has been complaining about.
It’s not the fanservice, it’s how it’s presented.
This whole crossover (as well as a good majority of the previous one) is just pure fanservice with no flowing plot.
Fanservice is good, yes, but when it’s done just for the sake of pleasing the fans and not making an interesting story, it’s not done well.
The crossover will begin after the Sonic Fighter arc, their will be even one issue between.
Honeslty a crossover between Sonic and Megaman X is a dream come true to me, though I agree this is looking over crowded and I don’t really want to see Sonic Boom in this at all. Still going to check it out, it might be better than the first one.
Apologies if my previous reply wasn’t well worded. What I meant to say is that it’s being presented in a way where it’s mainly for the fans. By the looks of how many characters they’re having in this crossover, it’s safe to assume that they’re going for the Quantity >>> Quality. It’ll be great if this story ended up having a good flowing plot, but with the amount of characters it has, I somehow doubt that. And I agree with you.
SALLY ACORN! WOO!
DEADLY SIX- Oh.
In all honesty though, just how many characters can Flynn cram into one crossover? The previous one was too short to really do such a large cast justice… and this one is the same length, and has even more characters.
That’s my biggest issue with this crossover….. It’s trying to cram so much for one crossover. I have a bad feeling about this one. :/
Okay, last time Sonic and Mega Man met, Sonic returned and his world was all different, this time, oh please oh please have him return to the world, back to normal, before the reboot, oh please!
Sorry, but Mr. Penders won’t allow it.
If they went back to the original timeline, Archie would have to pay Penders for every one of ‘his’ characters used. Light Mobius would be the official future, which would suck since Mobius XX Years Later was kinda crap. And the best bit? Every story would have to meet Penders’ approval and since Penders hates Ian with a passion, he would effectively rewrite the stories out of spite. Do you want to go to that?
What kind of fan fiction is this????
Welp, time to forfeit yet another milestone issue or two and break all the momentum the main continuity gained from the past 25 issues. We’re gonna get yet another interruption from a totally unrelated, contrived, and dumbed-down story arc. 50 issues and Mega Man still can’t celebrate his own accomplishments without a cash-grab crossover in the mix. The saddest part is that I’ll probably buy all these issues anyway 🙁
I actually think that this crossover is going to essentially be the 3rd act of the Shattered World Crisis Saga, and that when it’s over, everything will be back to normal. That’s really the only sensible way to go about this.
That… makes a lot of sense actually, especially since all seven Emeralds will be needed to cause the Chaos Control and Genesis Wave and stuff that’s needed to cross dimensions again 🙂
Then again, if that was to happen, then it kinda negates the whole purpose of including the Gaia Temples, Chip, and Dark Gaia. At which point, the whole Unleashed adaptation just collapses.
Well, not exactly–repairing the dimensions via Genesis Wave still wouldn’t fix the shattered planet (even though that was what caused it to shatter in the first place), so the Unleashed elements could still serve their purpose. My prediction is that the battle against Dark Gaia is going to be the climax of Worlds Unite, and after defeating it and restoring the planet, the Sonics and Megamans would use Chaos Control to save the universe or whatever.
The biggest question I have (and the one that could likely derail my predictions) is the role that Mega Man’s world is going to play in all of this.
Plz
I read Jojo
I don’t know if this would count, but you could also add that unlike comic’s, Mangas actually End at one point.
This is why I love manga/anime over comics/cartoons, honestly. I’m always sad to see my favorite series go, but I realized some time ago that my favorite series were just that BECAUSE of their endings or build ups to it.
Please tell me that was a joke.
I don’t know, I feel like they could do something good with the Deadly Six if this isn’t their sole inclusion in the comic. They can be really good BECAUSE they’re so underdeveloped in the games, they have MILES of breathing room to expand on them. I can’t say I’m excited, but I’m interested. Zavok and Zazz should be good at the very least.
Phff..I seem to remember these same hopes of “development” from the Boom spinoff comic….those were smashed fairly quickly lol.
I doubt they’ll get any real development, especially since it appears that Sigma is the main villain. They will more than likely be as insulting as they were in Lost World.
Sally?… YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY…!!!!! n_n
