Will we See Quake 1 on DC?

Well, this is nice change of events, Jason Lee-Steere spoke to FGN Online about the possibility, though it would only be up to id Software:

Given the age of the game, I wouldn’t have thought there was any chance of this ever being released. However the response has been huge so perhaps there is some small possibility. Simply put, id owns the content to the game and I think they’re probably more interested in focusing on the new Doom. For games like Quake that don’t require anywhere near the full power of the Dreamcast, porting is very easy. But, unless a publisher wanted us to put together a retro pack or something, we aren’t likely to do it again.

This could turn interesting…hopefully further developments will be coming up in the weeks to come.
