Will Metal Sonic Appear in SA2?

Crimson Fury has come up with a bit of evidence supporting this, after looking at the SA2 trailer frame by frame:

At the very end, as you see the camera spinning around Sonic, and it starts to fade. You see a head of what seems to be a new form of Metal Sonic. He has a red stripe across his cheek, and also has red above his eyes, AND his eyes themselves are red.

So, is this the proof we need that this might be a Sonic 2 all over again, except this time on the Dreamcast? Only time will tell. In the meantime, thank Crimson for this careful observation, it might tell what is to come.
