Waku Waku Sonic Patrol car, now dumped and emulated
One of the long forgotten Sonic games, Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car, has finally seen the light of day. It’s one of the most obscure games of the franchise, released only as a kiddy ride arcade in Japan back in December 1991, but it’s pretty interesting as the depiction of Sonic is more close to his original beta looks than to the final classic Sonic as we know it.
There have been several attempts to find the game, along with it’s sister game SegaSonic Cosmo Figther Galaxy Patrol, and dump it to preserve one of the oldest and more obscure Sonic games, but the quest is over now.
Mame has added Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car to their list of compatibility at their latest release. Along that, a dump of the game is now available around the net, thanks to Will Medved, Ryan Holtz and The Dumping Union.
The kiddy game, even if simple, contains lots of amusing details like lots of speech, making that the first time Sonic talked in a game, and a cute rendition of Green Hill Zone’s theme.

What is Sonic saying throughout the game? That would be nice to know.
is game available or WILL be available, because I searched everywhere and no one seem to have uploaded it yet
Fun Fact Sonic in this game shares the same JP VA as Trunks:
Now we wait for the TAS to trickle in…
The game…doesn’t actually look very good.
