UK All Format Top 40 Chart
It’s taken some time to arrange but I’m pleased to announce that thanks to Chart Track and the ELSPA TSSZNews has permission to use any of their UK Charts on this website.
It’s a good week for Nintendo as thanks to some extensive advertising Wii Fit claims the top space of the chart. Smash Bros Brawl drops to third and Lego Indiana Jones steals second. Nintendo’s last entry in the top 10 is Wii Play, which gives some indication as to how popular the Wii is in the UK at the moment.
Sega have reason to celebrate as well with two Olympic themed games in the top 10; Bejing 2008 being the more serious simulation in at 8 with Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games in at number 10. I wouldn’t be surprised to see that climb when the Olympics are underway properly.
One final thing to note is Sonic and the Secret Rings hanging on in there at number 22. The game has been hovering around the 20’s since it’s release being a slow and steady earner for Sega. It’s testament to how well a semi-decent Sonic game does long term. Sonic for 360 and PS3 is nowhere to be seen.
