Super Mario Bros. Z Reboot Announced

Before the Sonic Shorts the most popular animation on the internet in the mid-2000s was Super Mario Bros Z, a sprite animation that was never finished. Until now.

Alvin Earthworm has returned from his retirement to reboot the series that starred Mario, Luigi, Sonic, and Shadow. You can see the new intro below.

The video comments have been quite informative as Alvin himself describes how the series will happen now in a reply to a fan:

I’m starting over. The overall story will be very similar to the original. But the sprites, animation and dialogue will be a lot better.

No release date for episode one was given.
