Stolar Departure: SOJ Involved?
Well, apparently so, according to Sega X:
The former US Sega leader was paid a five million dollar severance package to leave the company. Reported by sources outside of Sega, Stolar was apparently aware of the package for some time, but had no fear of loosing his post. It has also been indicated that over the past few months, pressure was placed on Stolar to resign.
Furthermore, Toshiro Kezuka was one of several former SOJ employees sent to America to keep watch over the former COO, and Sega of Japan’s main contact with its US wing. With Kezuka being new successor, it appears to many that this was a move directly from SOJ to have Stolar removed.
