Sony Confirms Preparations For The Uncharted Movie Are “Underway” And They’re “Hoping To Start Soon”

Tom Holland, who will be playing as a young Nathan Drake in the Uncharted Movie, made an Instagram post that stirred speculation from fans that the movie had entered production. Sony didn’t help matters by tweeting a screenshot of Holland’s post, adding fuel to the fire. With mistakes realized, a representative of Sony told IGN that production on the movie is yet to start, but “preparations are underway” and that they’re “hoping to start soon”.

The Uncharted movie is slated to release on July 16th, 2021, a year from now. Sony’s tweet of Holland’s Instagram post and IGN’s relaying of the Sony representative’s statement is below.
