This discovery is because a new video posted on the official Sonic social media has revealed all the teasers posted, along with their meanings. Not only are the numbers explained, but so are some secret phrases. It turns out that the frequent appearances of Classic Sonic was also intended to be a teaser for his return. And, indeed, the teasers were meant to be a way to tell fans the date of the Sonic 25th anniversary party, where the announcements of the next Sonic titles would be made. No offense at all but wasn’t this already announced at the 25 years round-up party where the 22/7 party was announced? 😛
The numbers pointing to the date was explained but there being a reason behind the prevalence of Classic Sonic art was not.

After all the fuss with the teasers I was expecting them to actually point to something with more meat to it, or at least to different things for a little more variety. It seems everything, or almost everything, just pointed to the date of the party.
To be fair though, the date to the party was pretty damn significant considering what they announced.
Near the end of the video they said theres going to be more teasers, and ‘that which is missing’ would help us find out more, its not over! keep your eyes peeled!
Well they’ve only shown a teaser for Sonic Team’s game and this exposed video barely mentions what of the social media teases had to do it with other than Classic Sonic being in it so expect them to push on more teases until Mania comes out and they start talking about the game properly

There is nothing else to prove here other than that they had the 7-22-16 date set up since January and was always what this whole thing was about rather than somehow hinting at Sonic 4 Episode 3 and Sonic Adventure 3.
