Sonic on the XBOX?

Well, we had quite a scare here at TSSZ Central today when we learned that GameFan Online reported on a complete X-Box unveiling, and this quote came up:

There was also two seconds of footage from what we think was Sonic The Hedgehog; if it wasn’t Sonic, it was a dead ringer for Sega’s speedy blue hog…

Oh, but how things change…GameFan quickly, and I mean quickly retracted that statement, and replaced it with this:

There was also two seconds of footage from what looked suspiciously like Sonic The Hedgehog…but it was, in fact, Argonaut’s new mascot platformer exclusive to the XBox!

Whew, that was a close one. But remember, Sonic Team is considered independent and there are rumors floating that a Sonic game is being done for Game Boy Advance, so anything can happen.
