Sega Will Stay in Arcade Business
A Sega representative recently commented on the rumors that have been flying about Sega pulling out of domestic arcades. This rumor has now been proven to be false:
It seems the story about Sega Arcade pulling out of the United States and Europe is a rumor and nothing more. It certainly is a mistake. Sega does not intend to get out of the Arcade market anywhere in the World. Executives have just returned from a Sales and Strategy meeting where our course and strategies for the next two years were discussed. And in fact we have products and titles forecasted that far out. So, no, we are not getting out of these marketplaces.
So, it looks like we’ll be enjoying Sega arcade games for quite a while.
