Sega Takes Over the UK (All Format Chart)
The UK All Format Chart has been in the midst of a bloody battle as of late, each new game vying for its own territory and trying to overthrow the Nintendo overlords from their continued dominance. The Wii Fit ruled the chart from Jan 17th to Feb 21st only being beaten down to the number two spot by Street Fighter IV.
Killzone 2 assumed the number 1 spot a week later with Halo Wars only managing second but neither cold withstand the onslaught from Empire: Total War as it claimed the chart as its own.
Empire: Total war at number one is significant for a number of reasons. It’s published by Sega which is why it’s being written about on this website but it’s also the first PC exclusive game to hold the number one spot in a very long time. Indeed you’d have to look all the way back to October 2007 where Football Manager 2008 was at the top. Coincidently that was also published by Sega.
Further down the chart and the Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection is hanging on at number 11, down from last weeks number 6. It’s had a good showing in the chart as it should. If you want proof just take a look at the review of the game right here on TSSZ News.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is still in the chart, this week at 17. Astonishing for a game released over a year ago. Indeed it came out over here back on 11/23/07.

Sega supporting PC gaming? Somehow I never quite appreciated that.
Remember Sonic & Knuckles Collection for the PC? (The original). I loved that game!
SOE some how tried to care about it’s audience. While the rest failed…
Gamtrailers gave SBK a 4.7/10, just to let you know
Sonikku Master: I remember that. And SONIC CD On the PC*Smiles Evily*
