SEGA Announced as Partner in Apple Arcade Subscription Service
Today, Apple announced Apple Arcade, a gaming subscription service for iOS devices, Macs, and Apple TV; SEGA is set to participate in the program. Apple Arcade will grant users unlimited access to over 100 premium, paid games on the App Store for one monthly price. Game progress is synced across devices, and all games on the service will be playable offline. Games that are playable via Apple Arcade will be exclusive to the service, and they will not appear on any other mobile platform.
Apple Arcade launches this fall. No pricing or additional launch information was announced.
UPDATE: The Apple Arcade website is live with a list of games confirmed for the service’s launch later this year. Among these titles is Sonic Racing, published by SEGA and developed by HARDlight. The website used promotional art in line with what we’ve seen from console versions of Team Sonic Racing, but no additional details or information were provided.
