Official Sonic 25th Anniversary Logo Debuts

And so it begins. We now have what looks to be the official logo for Sonic 25th anniversary. It even includes Classic Sonic but with black eyes. It’s not green eyes but seeing as the “green-eyed classic Sonic” bit became nothing more than a debunked rumor within half a day after we reported on the most recent news about the logo there wasn’t cause for any concern.

This first official artwork for the logo appeared on the Sonic 20th Twitter via a New Year’s message:

While the logo does not indicate anything about the inevitable anniversary title to come it does seem SEGA continues to use it as a means of hype. This is likely our last 25th anniversary news before 2016 and it seems SEGA is doing what everyone else has done. They’re looking to the future.
