Official: Dreamcast Orders Top 300,000

Sega of America has announced that the DC has reached 300,000 pre-orders. They expect to break the 24 hour entertainment sales record, currently held by Star Wars: Episode 1. Also expected by SOA is sales of 400,000 30 days into the launch, 1 million by end of the year, and 1.5 million by March 2000.

Earlier estimates put DC Pre-Orders at 350,000, but with so many retailers stopping pre-orders, apparently that figure won’t be reached by launch.
