New Sonic After the Sequel Build Released
If you’ve already downloaded or played through Sonic After the Sequel, you may want to know about an update that was released only a day after the full version hit the Internet.
Version 1.1 received a quick release on Sunday. The SATS website portal includes four mirrors to download with various glitches and bugs fixed. Though nothing specific is mentioned in the build update, series producer LakeFeperd has stated that “everything major” is fixed.
You can grab the new build here. For those who have already played, tell us your thoughts on this latest full Sonic fan game below in the comments.
The levels are too long. The game feels more of a chore to finish…. 🙁 Though this is definitely the best Sonic fan game I have ever played.
Exactly. You have a really cool final boss with a good idea then it drags on and on they should have put more thought into when to stop.
Agreed. Gameplay was great, music was great and the levels were well designed but this thing took me five hours to finish (give or take a tea and cigarette break or two). No classic Sonic game, fan made or not should take that long. And when I finished the game only to find out that I still had a “Credits Zone” to roll though… Enough said really.
People complaining about content.
The world has really turned on its head.
Took you 5 hours, but the guy below you only took 2.
Two hours sounds about right for me too but I played classic mode so I got Super Sonic about 4 levels in so I managed to fly through some of the levels with ease when I could manage to get 50 rings. Overall the game is far more enjoyable than BTS no Tails only levels breaking with the flow and bosses are easier and at times very creative.
You’re complaining that a game offers too much (FREE) content for you to enjoy? That has to be one of the most (if not THE most) stupidest reason to complain about a video game.
If you feel you had enough of it for the time being and want to do something else for a while, just exit the game…it has a save feature, so it’s not like you are forced to play it through in one go. And it’s not like you’re playing it on a rental Genesis/Mega Drive either that you have to return in 2 or 3 days..
What is the purpose of playing video games? To beat the game as fast as you can to be over with it or to just enjoy the game? I think it’s to enjoy it, so if you feel it’s starting to get a little less fun because you have been playing it for too long…then just take a break from it. Simple as that.
If you feel it was long because it was getting repetitive and was dragging on and on, that’s a different issue, but since that’s not what you said, I’m not getting into that.
It took me a little over 2 hours to play through to the end. That’s because I took some time to explore on some levels, though. Speaking of levels, I do have to say that Foliage Furnace seemed way too big, like beyond Metropolis Zone big. I like the idea of having a strictly Super Sonic level, but this one felt like regular Sonic could have done it. Props to LakeFepard on the cool final boss! Despite my nay saying, I had a good time playing the game and it was better than Before the Sequel. Now I’m waiting for Chrono Adventure at SAGE this year.
Mass amounts of levels is great! People are more obsessed with the destination then the experience and ride. This should have been called Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Sega should put this on the 3DS or something and give you a **** ton of money bro.
If i had to give criticism i would say:
**** all levels with water.
Enemy placement can get annoying but not as bad as Sonic 2, lol
Bosses difficulty are really random.
Im stuck on Zone 3 of Tenchno tree… place. Idk were to go D: (Thats not normal for a Sonic game excluding sonic 06)
