Namco, THQ Project Profits Down Sharply
DC turned PS2 developer Namco has announced that next year’s profits will be down by as much as 95%. The reasons for this that we know of is difficulty with PS2 transitions as well as problems with their arcade division. THQ will be reporting losses of $.13-$.15 a share; reasons for this include problems with the transition to next-gen consoles, and current problems with developing on old consoles.
With this in mind, if EA plans to place all bets on PS2, this just might be the info needed to stray away from that strong comment.
