I used to think the RoL 2/10 ratings were comical. Then I got the game.
Let’s just say I’m not laughing anymore.
I do think Destructoid’s been overly harsh on Shattered Crystal though. It’s not a bad game per se, it’s just short and a bit dull.
So Destructoid gave this game HIGHER than Sonic Colours?! I mean fair enough considering the fact that these reviews were done by two different reviewers, but still jeez…
The guy who reviewed it, Jim Sterling now runs Jimquisition, IIRC, and he gave it a 2/10, so he most definitely thinks Boom is worse than Colors.
*The guy who reviewed Colors for Destructoid, I mean
At least the show is good.
You mean the show that rehashes the same stupid formula for every episode that got stale already? I can’t consider a show that bland and uninspired to be “good”.
If you’re looking for smart and insightful, then obviously Boom’s not your thing. But not everything has to be college degree level; sometimes, you just want to laugh at silly things. And for that, Boom fits the bill quite nicely 😉 😛
If I want silly, I’ll just watch Adventure Time or Regular Show, both of which are much better shows, honestly. Boom’s just… there.
Adventure Time is insanity to be honest. 😛 But Boom and Regular Show are great.
I’m a poor gamer and I’m glad my father decided to get Smash Wii U instead of this trash.
Settle it in smash. 😛
Now that’s money well spent! Better to give money to hard-working developers.
Well, judging by the reviewers this game isn’t as glitchy as Sonic 2006 but it seems is less enjoyable than it.
lmafo Jimquisition’s review is by far the best review I’ve ever seen of this game xD

Sonic Boom is in it’s death throes.
There it is folks, barely over 20 thousand. And this is units shipped to retailers, not sold to actual end users.
That link doesn’t include the European figures.
Not that they’d make a blind bit of difference anyway. With the GTAV remake and Halo: MCC taking a lot of the adult attention, and with SSBU round the corner for those that have already done everything in SSB3DS, I don’t expect to see European sales figures anywhere near six digits.
Doesn’t Europe fall into the rest of the world category though? According to them, the rest of the world makes up about 5.4% of the global sales, which means that the European sale figures are even more tragic.
The figure is from six days before the European release.
Ah okay.
Not saying Sonic Boom isn’t selling poorly, but VG Chartz is nowhere near reliable at all. I remeber them under numbering Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
I came across some reviews for Shattered Crystal.

8.5/10
I thought I was soft on Shattered Crystal…
I personally would’ve given it around maybe a 5.5 or 6 at most. To me, it was a mediocre game at best.
Oh, well, life goes on. It was a licensed game for the cartoon anyway, so it probably won’t ruin the franchise’s reputation as much as Sonic ’06 did.
Besides, the show was the main attraction. That way Sonic has something to fall back on.

UPDATE: Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal’s Metascore as of this posting is 42.
This game deserves at least a 6 out of 10…
Why?
