Ken Penders on Archie Comics’ potential dissolution

If you haven’t been paying attention to the “A Moment of Archie Sonic” Tumblr blog, you’ve been missing out at an amusing glimpse of some of the comic’s… less elegant moments. The author of that Tumblr has also dug up an interesting quote from Ken Penders regarding the ongoing internal feud going on at Archie Comics between co-CEOs Jon Goldwater and Nancy Silberkleit:

Should Goldwater v Silberkleit or Silberkleit v Goldwater result in the dissolution of the company, at the very least I expect to come out with a clear claim to my copyrights. With regards to the Sonic comic itself, I would anticipate most if not all creators who worked on the book asserting their ownership to the material they created, and I would anticipate the chance to continue the book with Sega under better terms than they currently have with Archie. Seriously.

The post comes from page 8 of this thread discussing Ken’s upcoming Echidnaopolis book on the Kenpenders.com forums. What do you guys think? Should Ken Penders be allowed to officially write Sonic the Hedgehog stories for Sega again?
