Hatsune Miku on The Late Show with David Letterman Tonight
The Late Show with David Letterman will have a familiar face appearing for the crowd. Hatsune Miku will be performing one of her songs via projection live on the show tonight. It’s her United States television debut, taking place at Ed Sullivan Theater in New York.
It’s only the beginning of a busy month for Miku. The next day will see the opening of a new art exhibit dedicated to her, called “Universal Positivity“. It features works from original Hatsune Miku illustrators, toys, apparel and other merchandise. Projected videos and performances by Miku and her band are also available to see. In the coming days she will be doing live performances at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Oct. 11 and 12 and the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on Oct. 17 and 18.
As for the late night show appearance The Late Show with David Letterman airs on CBS at 11:35 pm Eastern Time.

this outta be interesting
You’re kidding, right?
What is soo compelling about some Japanese 3d model that can sing songs like Microsoft Sam?
Is Letterman looking for a bigger fanbase or something?
Why would he be looking for a bigger fanbase? He’s leaving next year.
At least her voice is technologically refined enough in Japanese that it sounds beautiful and pleasing. Microsoft Sam is getting old and grey and sounds like a robot that has a cracking, garbled voice that sounds like a squeaky piece of chalk. If M$ was smart, they would release silky and beguiling Cortana for Windows 10 (like here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fme4i4-UOmY ; and I hope Technical Preview keylogs this suggestion and relays it to central command).
can we pleas keep that auto tuned thing people fap to in japan..just really..do we really need this? must be out of ideas for his show. just..screw this this is just..arg
or maybe just maybe seeing how comic con is going on this week which does have japanese stuff there is the reason why miku is there, have you thought that?
Stop complaining and watch! XD
EXACTLY!!!!!
Who cares? He’s leaving soon. He can do whatever he wants. I am not a fan of Miku but I will watch this just for the sheer insanity of it. Really.
Think about this for a second. A Japanese program that sings is on Network Late Night Television in America.
This is very strange. But You know you’ll have to see it just to see it.
And I thought having her on the DLC poll was crazy…..
Ha! 😀
I almost forget sometimes that she’s just a video game character.
Wow. This is going to be awesome. Glad to see America interested in a culture outside of their own.
As long as muricans don’t start demanding that loli fanservice is axed then whatever.
There are a lot of people interested in a lot of things in America, we’re freakin’ huge. Other cultures’ media just have to be more agressive about advertising stateside, their biggest problem has always been presence.
lets see secound comment i missed it but i thik i know how the mik fans reacted wathcing it. they probly got some hand lotion and faped during the song.
Man, this should be interesting. I’m watching right now.
this is obviously connected to comic con in some strange way, it takes place this week
It wasn’t half bad! I really hope she makes it big out there! good luck Hatsune! 😉
Felt nostalgic to me.
I just found and watched it on Youtube, pretty neat to see. Now lets get her and Virtual Michael at a show together (get some talented DJ to mix Miku with a Michael song)! Throw in Virtual 2Pac for extra hype!
Here is an upload to YouTube of the performance:
